Changing Your Email Addresses

Citrus County maintains 4 email addresses on each contractor. You can add or edit these via the "My Account" link on the Contractor Portal page. To access this:

  • Login to the Contractor Portal (if you are not already logged in), and click "My Account". The email addresses are show at the bottom of this page, and are displayed below:

The four available email addresses are used as follows:

  1. Authorizations E-Mail Address: We will send important emails which require the attention of the Owner to this address. If someone requests a password, or if an important issue arises, we will send the communication to this address.
  2. Licensing E-Mail Address: Any emails related to your Contractor license, Workers Compensation, or Liability Insurance will be sent to this address. It is often the same as the Authorizations E-Mail address, but can be different if needed.
  3. Inspections E-Mail Address: Emails related to Building Divisions Inspections will be sent to this address. This should be the address of the person who schedules inspections for your company. When the Building Inspectors complete an inspection, they enter the results into a laptop inside their truck which in turn updates our database and sends an email to the contractor within minutes of completion. Those notifications will be sent to this address. This address should be watched closely so inspections results can quickly be known and schedules adjusted accordingly.
  4. Reviews E-Mail Address: The results of reviews will be sent to this address. Many companies will use the same address as Inspections, but a few large contractors may have people dedicated to this process.

Many contractors will use the same email address in all four cases, and that is perfectly acceptable. Most Internet Providers allow you to have several email addresses for the same price, and we would urge you to have at least one for Authorizations so you will know if someone is trying to steal your password.

  1. Send E-Mail Notifications: If you check this box, we will send you an e-mail when we need to notify you of something.
  2. Send Fax Notifications: If you check this box we will send you a fax when we need to notify you of something.
  3. You can check either or both.

Caution: Many large Internet Providers (like Yahoo or MSN) have a fairly small Inbox for your email, and if a friend emails something to you with an attachment, it could easily fill up your Inbox, preventing other email from getting through - including notifications from us. All of them will give you a lot more space for a small monthly fee and we encourage you to do so. Check with your provider for their email storage limitations.
