 Senior Programs
The purpose of our programs is to assist both older persons at risk of loosing their independence and active older persons by providing a meal Monday through Friday that provides 1/3 of the daily recommended nutritional requirements for adults.
Our two main programs are the Senior Dining Program and the Home Delivered Meal Program. Each program serves the same hot noon time meals prepared by a professional caterer.
- Senior Dining participants receive meals in a friendly group setting at one of the five community centers throughout Citrus County where they are also encouraged to join in the social activities, games and classes that are offered.
- Home Delivered Meal participant's meals are delivered to the home by dedicated volunteers.
The Community Centers are focused on providing a friendly atmosphere where county residents of all ages can participate in various activities that capture their interests and stimulate growth while encouraging them to be an active member of their community.
