Winn Webb

Commissioner Winn Webb was elected to the Board of County Commission in November 2008. He currently serves as Chairman; member of the Medical Examiner Board; member of the Transportation Planning Organization; member of the FAC Board for District 11; member of the Small County Coalition Board of Directors; and a member of the Withlacoochee Regional Water Supply Authority.
Commissioner Webb has always been involved in his community. He is a past member of the Floral City Water Association Board of Directors, former Little League Coach, and past President of the Floral City PTO. He is currently active with American Legion Post 225 (a Charter Member), the Veteran's Coalition, Chamber of Commerce, Salvation Army Board of Directors, Crime Stoppers of Citrus County, the National Rifle Association and Floral City Heritage Council, as well as, numerous local charity functions.
A former small business owner for nine years and most recently a retired Law Enforcement Officer, Commissioner Webb said, as he took office, that he looked forward to his first term as a county commissioner and working to preserve our natural resources and the county's great historical heritage. He wants to encourage a healthy economy that provides jobs and allows retirees to live comfortably on their fixed incomes.
Commissioner Webb was born in 1950 in Brooksville, Florida and grew up in Floral City. He is a second generation Citrus County property owner and, like his father before him, a Navy Veteran. He and his wife, Suzanne, were married in 1980 and have five children and nine grandchildren. Commissioner Webb and Suzanne are active members of Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church.
His free time, when not reading, is often spent bicycling, kayaking/canoeing, and hunting or fishing, and just about anything that's outdoors.
